Aerospace To Construction - How We Got Here

Vita’s mission is simple — To build technology that brings people home, every time. Although our journey began in the aerospace industry, we discovered a similar need for our innovative solutions within the construction sector. By expanding our reach, we were able to broaden the impact of our mission, making yet another industry safer and more efficient.

Aerospace To Construction - How We Got Here

ou might have read the story of our humble beginnings in a garage with nothing but a big vision – but if you haven’t, we highly recommend it.

Caleb Carr, driven by a tragic loss during a rescue training operation, founded Vita Inclinata on the belief that a lack of technology should never be the difference between life and death for rescue crews, crane operators, or patients. Our pioneering product, the Vita Rescue System (VRS), arose from this belief, serving as a vital tool that prevents spin or swing caused by helicopter downwash during life-saving missions.

In high-stakes scenarios, maintaining control can make all the difference. The VRS guarantees total precision control over rescue devices, enabling confidence and peace of mind during unpredictable conditions. This game-changing technology drastically improves the odds of successfully retrieving individuals in danger.

"Initially, our focus was solely on the aerospace industry," recounts co-founder and engineer Derek Sikora. “However, the narrative took an unexpected turn when construction companies began seeking an efficient load stabilization solution. We rose to the challenge through scaling the potential and kinetic energy solutions of the Vita Rescue System to control the much larger payloads beneath construction cranes.”

This ambition soon led to the realization that a more robust, purpose-built technology was needed to adeptly maneuver heavy loads with precision in various climates and conditions. Incorporating the VRS’s technology into a new solution gave life to the Vita Load Navigator (VLN)– a product resilient enough to withstand windy environments and harsh debris while remaining simple enough to be operated with the push of a single button. Using aerospace-grade sensors and proprietary algorithms the VLN automatically detects and corrects any unwanted rotation in the load, ensuring that it remains stable and secure throughout the entire lift. The remote pendant gives the user complete control and allows maneuvering of the load from up to 600 ft away, increasing safety for the user and the load.

Our team has successfully developed yet another groundbreaking device that not only enhances efficiency, safety, and profitability but also fundamentally transforms the mental aspect of lifting operations. By eliminating the risks associated with inadvertent load rotations into adjacent buildings and the need for playing dangerous tug-a-war with the taglines, we have redefined load control and established a new standard of precision and reliability within the industry.
